The Ford Explorer - A Look at its Capability-Enhancing Features

At Greiner Ford of Casper, our team likes to provide Casper car shoppers with details about our vehicles. The Ford Explorer is an outstanding SUV that was designed with cutting-edge capability features.

Post-Collision Braking is a standard capability of the Explorer. This system can possibly reduce the severity of a secondary collision by applying the brakes if it detects an initial collision. The Explorer also features the all-new Terrain Management System that features seven selectable drive modes for enhanced capability. This system comes with Eco, Normal, Sport, Tow/Haul, Deep Snow/Sand, Trail, and Slippery. The drive modes come with 3D animated graphics on the available 12.3-inch digital cluster.

The Class III Trailer Tow Package is offered with the 3.3L hybrid engine and 2.3L EcoBoost engine and standard with the 3.0L EcoBoost engine. The 3.0L EcoBoost engine delivers up to 365 horsepower when it's under the hood of the Explorer Platinum. The ST takes it up a notch by adding twin turbos to the 3.0L EcoBoost for up to 400 horsepower.
